The website, the phone app, and the Blue Dot Chrome extension. If you use any of them, this policy applies.

• Account: email, password (stored as a hash), optional ZIP code, and a username if you pick one. • Device: a random device id so guests can save reports on this device without an account. • Scans and reports: barcodes, product names, company names, photos you take for IntelliScan, and the reports we generate. • Chrome extension: the text you highlight, plus a short stretch of nearby page text so we can guess a company. We do not read the rest of your browsing. • Site use: which reports you open, so History can work.

• Look up or create a product, then write a Blue Dot report. • Show your history if you are signed in (or on this device if you are a guest). • Send account email (verify, reset password) if you ask for it. • Keep the product working and fix bugs. We send product and company names to an AI service so the report can be written. We do not sell your information. We do not run ads on your data.

• Your location, beyond an optional ZIP you type in. • Payment cards (we do not charge on this site today). • The full web page when you use the Chrome extension — only the highlight and nearby text for that report.

Signed-in sessions use a cookie or local storage on this device. Guests use the device id. You can sign out or clear site data in your browser to drop that.

Account and report data stay until you delete the account or ask us to remove it. Guest reports stay on that device id. We may keep a product report so the next person looking up the same item does not wait for a new one.

• You can use the site as a guest. • You can skip the Chrome extension. • You can change or clear your ZIP on the Account page. • Signed-in users can delete their account anytime from Account → Delete account. You can also use Feedback or email us.

Blue Dot is not aimed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13.

If this policy changes in a real way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
